The Bay of Gibraltar

The Bay of Gibraltar has always been , and will always be ”The Bay of Gibraltar”.

Spain’s politicians have for many years now been campaigning worldwide for the Bay to be called The Bay of Algeciras. They have on many occasions put pressure on international bodies for them to change the name, but fortunately history tells its story…..

and The Bay will continue to carry Gibraltar after it!

Spain had put pressure on Google Maps to replace the name of our Bay to ” Bay of Algeciras”. This was changed for a short spell but after consultations Google have decided to go back to its original and only name

”The Bay of Gibraltar”

  1. Peter Maginnis says:

The Bay of Gibraltar has been shown on old maps since time immemorial. I do not see how the Kingdom of Spain feels that it should be removed as part of their current economical and political aggression against Gibraltar.

  2. Like a Spaniard once said when he foamed at the mouth whilst munching a piece of soap which he was convinced was cheese.

” Si en efecto sabe a JABON pero insisto que ES QUESO ”

I rest my case as that illustrates the typical Spanish way of thinking
